Very dwarf: Ivs. and young growth generally somewhat pubescent, the Ivs. lona and narrow, acuminate usually in 4's : fls. in continuous clusters, rather smaller than those of A. Hendersoni and of better substance, fragrant. Gn. 40: in Eng. in 1891 by B. & Son, and int. in U. S. in 1893. Supposed to be a hybrid. Promising for pots. L. H. B. ALL-HEAL, See Brunella vulgaris. Allium vine&le, a bad weed in parts of the northeastern states, has a slender scape sheathed below with hollow thread- shaped Ivs., and greenish rose-colored fls. (or bulblets in the place of fls.).
