Lydia Darragh (1728 - 1789) passing information to a Continental Army officer during the American Revolutionary War. While British officers were quartered in her house, Darragh overheard plans of an attack. Darragh, a Quaker woman, crossed British lines to convey these plans to Col. Elias Boudinot of the Continental Army, who immediately relayed the information to General George Washington, who was in turn able to foil the British at the Battle of White Marsh (December 1777).
