Thither the birds re-sort in great numbersabout the beginning ofJune, and form bur-rows of the depth oftwo or two and a halffeet, in the bottom ofwhich is laid a singlewhite egg; a few bitsof dry grass, scarcelydeserving the name ofa nest, having been placed for its reception. The egg measures aninch and a half in length by seven-eighths of an inch in breadth ;is almost equally rounded at both ends. ... On wing, thisspecies is more lively than the Forked-tailed, but less so than thecommon Stormy Petrel.
