A small-sword, Spain(?), circa 1760 Double-edged thrusting blade of flattened hexagonal section and decorative etching, and bearing the Latin motto, "recte faciendo neminem timeas" (do right and fear no one) on the obverse side of the forte. Pierced brass hilt with decorative relief and an asymmetric double shell-guard. Twisted iron and brass wire grip winding and Turk's heads.
