It was foundamong the remains of the robes, and was attachedby a silken thread covered with gold. A cross, saysBishop Browne, with arms of the same type in themain motive, is figured in one of the magnificentpages of the Lindisfarne Gospels. The cross is ofgold, with a large garnet in the centre, another ineach angle, and twelve upon each of the loop by which it was suspended is of brightyellow gol
