Aberystwyth Wales UK, Sunday 9 November 2014. A keen bird watcher, who had made the journey from Shropshire just to photograph the birds, watches as tens of thousands of starlings fly overhead . The ‘murmuration’ of birds come in at dusk every night to settle on the cast iron legs of Aberystwyth's Royal Pier. From October to March the birds produce a spectacular display in the sky over the town. Starling numbers are in decline across the UK, and the birds are on the endangered 'red list' photo Credit: Keith Morris / Alamy Live News
