The second service is the ser-vice de la rage, the purpose of which is toprevent the people bitten by mad dogs frombecoming themselves the victims of hydro-phobia. This service is under the directionof Dr. Grancher. Since the end of 1885 morethan 23,000 persons have submitted for anti-rabic treatment in this place.
