The St. Louis County Growers' Asso- ciation will meet April 7. The place of meeting will be announced by Joseph Deutschmann, the secretary, in his regu- lar notices. Spring is in the air, snow and ice are fast disappearing, early bulbous plants are blooming and it looks as though our long, hard winter was about over. If the weather man will spare us another Easter snow storm we shall be most devoutly thankful. Good weather is what we need now to make the Easter plant and cut flower trade break all records. A slight hardening in prices is noted. In the case of violets it is most pro- nounced and these are now quoted at $ to $ per hundred, with a fur- ther advance likely later in the week. Roses have not changed materially and sell all the way from $3 to $20, except some fancy Hadley and other spe- cial varieties. Carnations show little advance as yet, the general run going at
