The training event consisted of several practical application stations with a log sprint of 400 meters inbetween each station. Marines not participating in the practical application were required to conduct log drills until the station scenario was completed. The Department of Defense, through the Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
