A sculpture known as the Durham Cow created by Andrew Burton in 1997, on the Racecourse sports ground, Durham City, England, UK

Along the banks of the River Wear which flows through the city of Durham is a stretch of parkland called the Racecourse. It is part of Durham University's sports facilities and has been in use since at least 1733. The Racecourse is also known for hosting two annual events, the Durham Regatta and Durham Miners' Gala. The cricket ground is used for first class cricket and is the home of Durham MCC University (previously Durham University Centre of Cricketing Excellence). Information from Wikipedia.
