Coulee Dam, Washington, United States, Grand Coulee Dam is the largest producer of hydroelectricity in the United States


Grand Coulee Dam was built to provide irrigation and electric power. Construction began in 1933 and was completed in 1942. The dam is 550ft (168m) high and 5,220ft (1,592m) wide. The dam was constructed on the Columbia river and the lake formed is called the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Lake.
