The permanent attractiveness of one's home surroundings is undeniably incomplete without a collection of these great, hardy iron-clad Roses. And now, for the first time by any firm, we offer a complete collection of hardy Roses, ALL ON THEIR OWN ROOTS, each one a gem, famous the world over, large, stocky plants, that have been grown by our special methods, in specially prepared ground, where they have been given all the care and skill at our command, with the result that they are now plants that may be termed three-and four-year-old and unsurpassed for general planting where quick returns are desired. During the seasonable planting time, we offer many varieties in dormant stock, while the entire list we can furnish at any time in fine plants from pots 6 and 7 inches in diameter, three- and four- year-old plants, and we wish to say to those who will plant them that the results they will give, which will be immediate, will be a revelation. Space forbids an extensive explanation of how these Roses have been grown, but, briefly stated, the original stock was carefully selected and set out in virgin soil in the open ground, and, notwithstanding that their numbers ran into the thousands, each plant was watered individually when it required it. These Roses have been trimmed into shapely size—in fact, each might be termed a specimen plant, for they have received individual care.
