A small group, reccntlj' framed to accommodate the following gcnns and its two tropical allies ; it is perhaps questionable whether they are most naturall}' classed with tiie Warblers. Ideria shows the foUowin^^ points:—Larger than any other Si/lriculfda:; bill short, stout, compressed, culinen and commissure both curved, tip nnnotched, rictus unbristled ; wings much rounded, shorter or at most not longer than the tail.
