It is thebest pond for trout upon the Canadian side of the boundary,trout rising to the fly from May till October, and averaginghalf a pound in weight, with an occasional one up to as high as foiu pounds. The four trout in the initial of this chapter were caught in this lake, and weighed ninepounds, the largest one weighing over three pounds. There is a good camp and lean-to at Trout Lake, and a boat will be placed upon the lake the comingseason, and possibly a more direct trail cut from Lake Megantic.
