Two Balti girls are seen from the Thang village in Leh district in Ladakh as one looks through binoculars towards the Pakistan village, Pharnu, which is around from the Line of Control (LOC). The Thang village was seized from Pakistan as a result of the Indo-Pakistan war in 1971. Pharnu and Thang are twin villages where family members are seen living on either side of the two neighboring country's villages.
