The photo taken on May 15, 1867, two days before UWHJ was opened for public traffic on the entire route Uddevalla-Herrljunga. Track width by English pattern 4 English foot = 1217 mm. The track was broadened to normal tracks in 1898-1899. Borås-Herrljunga Railway, BHJ, had the same track width and was broadened at the same time with UWHJ. Count Arvid Taube was the first traffic manager for both courses Borås-Herrljunga Railway, BHJ and UVHJ.
