Elliott noticed an oilcar leaking. He improvised a plug to stop theleak. When the train was pulled into clear atTunnelton, conductor Elliott, with the assist-ance of brakemen E. H. James and D. , succeeded in placing the plug in theleaking pipe, thereby saving approximatelyfour-fifths of the contents of the car. The efforts of all the members of this crew tosave the Company from loss are commended.
