Their an- swers have been that there was ** noth- ing to interest them" at the meetings. Now, this brings up the question: What is the object of the club? When the club first was organized its object was to provide a place where the florists could meet, and by discussion and inter- change of experiences help each other in conducting their businesses. This object has been and still is carried out, but the business has grown so, would it not be well to introduce new methods in the club, the same as we have in our business? Perhaps the club has not kept pace with the modern methods in- troduced into the business, but it is well to remember that the young fellows know nothing else but these new meth- ods, and expect the same thing at the club meetings. Never Too Old to Learn. Last winter we had a course of lec- tures by good men. I may speak par- ticularly of one by Prof. Anspan, of the Maryland State Agricultural Col- lege.
