Moths; Lepidoptera. 490 NOCTTJIDJE. cell, the terminal area purple-brown from vein 6 to tornus; sub- basal line represented by double brown strisB from middle of cell to submedian fold ; a brown striga across the cell before antemedial line, which is double, oblique from subcostal nervure to submedian fold, then incurved, the outer line bent outwards above inner margin and joining the postmedial line ; orbicular and reniform large with pale pinkish grey annuli defined by brown, the former obHque elliptical, open above and extending to above cell, the latter with ochreous patch in middle, its outer edge slightly angled out- wards at vein 6 ; postmedial line red-brown, strongly bent outwards below costa, incurved to vein 5, then very obliquely incurved and slightly sinuous to above inner margin where it joins the antemedial line, some whitish points beyond it on costa ; subterminal line ochreous from costa to vein 6, then obsolescent, defined on inner side by a black-brown band from vein 7 to inner margin, angled out- wards at vein 7, then obliquely curved ; a fine sinuous black-brown terminal line and lunule below apex; cilia black-brown, rufous towards apex, with a fine white line at base. Hind wing ochreous tinged with brown ; a fine postmedial brown line obli()ue to vein 4 then incurved to vein 2 ; a diftused subterminal band obsolescent towards costa; a diffused terminal band widening to vein 2, then obsolescent and reddish to vein 1; a fine terminal brown line; cilia bright ruibus, white at base ; the underside ochreous, the costal area slightly tinged with pinkish and strongly with fiery red towards apex, a sinuous postmedial brown line excurved at middle, and traces of a subterminal red line from costa to discal fold.
