COBURX. a leading farmerof Douglas Township, who operates afarm on section 7, was born in Prince-ville, Peoria County, 111., November 4, 1843. Heis a son of William and Rachel (Eltzroth) father was born in Ohio and with his parentsearly removed to Indiana. His wife, though anative of Ohio, is of Gorman descent. The par-ents of our subject came to Peoria County amongthe early settlers. The father kept a tavern in thepioneer days and also carried on a store for atime. Later he removed to a farm and followedagricultural pursuits until his death. He was astanch Whig and afterward a Republican. In18
