FIRST ARMY CONSOLIDATES AROUND CHAOUACH - A patrol of the 2nd Lancashire Fusiliers with an artillery officer two signalmen and a mule carrying a No. 21 wireless set bringing up the rear. The purpose of the patrol was to discover the forward of the Germans hidden in the maze of hills.
