A palace guard partizan, Elector Friedrich August I of the Electorate of Saxony, 1694-1697. Double-edged, ridged, thrusting blade with a black brazed etching "CFA" (Churfurst Friedrich August) and the coat of arms for the Electorate of Saxony on the opposite side. The base has holes in several places and etched foliage on both sides. The ten-sided socket is bordered by rings and has two long side straps. Replacement blackened wooden shaft.
