Model: Two-sided brushed woolen fabric in linen binding. Consisting of two front and two back pieces (49 cm) with a cm insert in the side seam. Wrinkled at the waist and knee. Closure at center front (fly) by means of five buttonholes and buttons, one of which is left. The fly is trimmed with red-brown rips. In the waistband on both sides two round, forged nest holes through which a ribbon was drawn. In one of the nest holes a remainder of the silk ribbon with a metal nest at the end. In the front panels on each side two small, vertical side pockets, lined with chamois leather and two large, lined with silk. Long, lined with silk, have been placed in the backs right next to the side seam. Seven metal hooks were sewn onto the waistband, which were meant to connect the jerkin and the pants. On the knee straps there are remains of the silk ribbon that was used to close the pants. The whole is lined with linen. Decoration: the buttons with a wooden core are decorated with silver thread. Originally 38 knots with narrow golden loops have been made on the side seams. It is not a closure, but solely for decoration purposes and is very similar to the brandebourgs of the so-called Polish skirts. Faux horizontal buttonholes on both sides of the buttons, trimmed with silver canetille and gold thread. Small silver studs on the right. Note: there was a large hole just below and next to the fly, which was filled with support tissue during the restoration in 1979, Roermond, Ernst Casimir count of Nassau-Dietz, anonymous, Netherlands, in or before 1632, geheel, voering, lint, metaaldraad, nestel, haak, striking (metalworking), l cm w cm w cm l cm
