Thomas Huckle Weller (born 1915), US virologist and Nobel laureate. Weller shared the 1954 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine with John Franklin Enders and Frederick Chapman Robbins. The share of the Nobel was awarded for Weller's discovery that polio viruses can be cultured in tissues, which led to the development by others of a successful vaccine against the virus.
