DIEGO (July 7, 2017) Sailors from the Navy and the Peruvian submarine BAP Pisagua (SS 33) gather at Naval Base Point Loma’s Roncador Memorial. Pisagua, commanded by Cmdr. Sergio Garma, is visiting San Diego to conduct training and exercises with the Navy, including anti-submarine warfare and submarine rescue operations in support of the Diesel-Electric Submarine Initiative (DESI).
