A team of artists is decorating & painting giant ducks in public view at Mann Island Development. The Liverpool Duck Trail, commissioned by AquaDucked, is to be launched on LightNight to showcase the vibrant creativity alive in Liverpool.


Canal Duck 1770 Work begins on the Leeds-Liverpool canal, the longest and highest in Britain, finished in 1816. Artists have begun decorating giant larger than life ducks in public view at Mann Island, Development on the waterfront. The life ducks are being created as a tourist attraction throughout the city of Liverpool and as a charity fundraiser. The ducks have been painted to commemorate themed on events in history that Liverpool was the first to achieve. Liverpool constructed the first dock in the world, the first lifeboat station, the first school for the deaf, the first rugby club, the first steel ship, the first purpose built football ground, the first hovercraft service, the first cancer research centre, etc.
