The North Grove School, a one-room schoolhouse in northeastern Illinois. The historic school was built by Swedish immigrants in 1878. Over the years it has served as a Sunday school, a church school and a public school. It still functioned as a public school until 1952 where elementary grades one through eight were taught. It remains in its original appearance and on its original site. The building and grounds are listed on the US National Register of Historic Places.
