Business has begun to show the usual summer depression. The spring sea- son has been with us longer than usual this year; the exceptionally cool weather has kept the stock in fine con- dition and has also kept the demand much greater than it otherwise would have been. The peony crop is gone en- tirely; it was more than satisfactory this year. The stock was good, and the season was longer than usual. Sweet peas are still being moved in large quantities, but are getting poorer every day.
