Man on ladder gathering fruit & lady holds up her apron collecting fruit (L), seated couple, lady & child kneel in front of large basket & standing couple (L of center), man with cane near seated woman (center), peacock perched on stone pedestal (L) (BRD) frame-like acanthus-leaf decoration, with cartouches inserted once on each side & each corner French & Flemish tapestries of similar subject are based on the "Italian Comedy" or "Fêtes Venitiennes". However, Bradshaw produced a totally new suite of scenes based on pictures by Watteau. This scene is partly based on either "Diavolo Player" or "L'Indifferent" at the Louvre (man with cane in center).
