This estimate, as has been stated, is for water powerwithin a radius of 50 miles of the city. Beyond that no detailed estimate has beenMillion and provided. Mr. Andrew Bell has estimateda Half. the aggregate water power available be- tween Ottawa and Mattawa (200 miles) at1,476,000 horse power. The engineers of the projected Montreal and Ottawaand Georgian Bay Canal estimate the water power de-veloped along the route of the canal at 700,000 horsepower. ;.
