Designed to be used outdoors, this also had a top saw and was decorated with an eagle motif. The company was established by Philander P Lane in 1850, as a small machine shop operating under the owner's name. In 1852 he was joined by Joseph T Bodley and the name became Lane & Bodley, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. The firm made wood-working machinery and steam engines.
