Dorsal III 8, equally distant from anterior border of eye and from caudal, border feebly concave ; last simple ray not enlarged, not serrated, as long as or a little longer than head. Anal III 5, not reaching caudal. Pectoral § to f length of head, not reaching ventral; base of latter below or a little behind origin of dorsal. Caudal peduncle 1 to IJ times as Fig. Barbus neglectas. Type (F. N.). long as deep. Scales radiately striated, 26-30 -^\ 2-2J between lateral line and ventral fin, 12 round caudal peduncle. Yellowish, with a broad silvery lateral band, fins white and transparent; some of the smaller specimens with a dark dot at the base of the caudal fin and another at the base of the anal.
