Army service members assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, 402nd Civil Affairs Battalion Functional Specialty Team along with Ugandan veterinarian students from Makerere University and 31 CAHW's treated more than 30,000 animals during six days of treatment in the Karomoja region. The collaboration of Ugandan veterinarian students, servicemembers from CJTF-HOA and various non-governmental veterinarian agencies during the VETCAP, result in building a highly trained and skilled veterinary force while directly impacting the nation's capability to provide for its own animal population.
