MCAS FUTENMA, OKINAWA, Japan— Staff Sgt. Jahbari H. Codes, center, refuels a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter June 16 on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma Okinawa, Japan. The CH-53E is the largest and heaviest helicopter in the military. Marines use these helicopters to deliver troops, vehicles and supplies from ships to shore. Codes is an aviation operations chief with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 462, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, currently assigned to 1st Marine Aircraft Wing under the unit deployment program.
