His land in Sims-bury descended to the Moores, and they ownparts of it to this day. (II) John, son of Deacon John Moore, orMore, had eight children: John, the eldest;Captain Thomas, a soldier in King Philipswar; Samuel. Nathaniel, Edward, Joseph andJoshua (twins), Martha. He built a goodhouse as a wedding present for his son Johnin 1690, and it was occupied by CaptainThomas Moore and a long line of his descend-ants in the direct Moore line, and is still in.
