No sand left on Porthcawl beach South Wales number 2243
The sea currents washed away the sand from this Porthcawl South Wales beach and so an engineer was called in to rectify the matter He calculated that if an artificial beach was made in tarmac to a precise angle and the tarmac was then covered in sand then the beach would survive Lorry loads of sand were brought in to cover the tarmac and the sea swept it all away Now the locals and the holiday makers simply lay out on the tarmac
