The Dutchman Petrus Arendzen (1846 - 1932) was commissioned by the Dutch Government to make etchings of paintings by Dutch artists that were hanging in English Collections. The Laughing Cavalier, by Frans Hals, is one of the best known exhibits at the Wallace Collection in Manchester Square, London.
