Hull House from 1856, is a settlement house in that was co-founded in 1889 by Jane Addams and Ellen Gates Starr in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Hull House, structure dating from 1856, is a settlement house in the that was co-founded in 1889 by Jane Addams and Ellen Gates Starr. Hull House was available to European immigrants. By 1911, Hull House had grown to 13 buildings. Presently, Hull House, now a museum, sits on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago. The Hull House building was designated a Chicago Landmark in 1965, a National Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1966.
