The 820 m high Farrenberg is the local mountain of Mössingen and the Mössingen district of Talheim. The name Farrenberg comes from its former use as a pasture for Mössingen's breeding bulls (Farren). Today, the mountain is home to the Farrenberg gliding site, which is operated by the Mössingen and Tübingen flying clubs.
