Snow-covered Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains and Namtso Lake, mid October, Damxung County, Tibet Autonomous Region


The Nyenchen Tanglha (Nyainqêntanglha) Mountains are a 700km long mountain range, which together with the Gangdise range forms the Transhimalaya that runs parallel to the main Himalayan Range. Namtso lake or Lake Nam (Heavenly Lake) is the second-largest salt lake in China located approximately 112 kilometres away from Lhasa.
