We do not find a bare space surrounding the eyesof our specimens, as mentioned by Vieillot. The under eyelid,- as inmost of the Meliphaga, is nearly bare of feathers; but there is nothinglike a naked circle. The bill, legs, and feet, are bright gamboge-yellow. 79.
