Suggestion for a card in the show window this week: '' Flowers Are the Best Symbol of the Sincerity of a Thank- ful ; What we need is quality. All praise to the man who has the courage to dump any stock he would not be satisfied to receive if he were the buyer. The dissemination of Carnation Win some, by Hartje & Elder, will take place in 1924. It was the gold medal winner at the last meeting of the A. C. S. If we will but remember that what we really sell is satisfaction, it will help us on our way. If it is difficult to sell, the degree of satisfaction given is not great enough. Think it over. No man ever had a better florist's business than those who have as their first rule the golden one. He who in- variably does as he would be done by seldom lacks for customers and seldom has difficulty getting stock. When a florist has a message for the public he should "tell it to Sweeney," as Mrs. Van Stuyvesant also will under- stand. Too much highbrow stuff in the advertising matter makes it miss fire with the majority of flower buyers. Since the Thanksgiving holiday falls on the publication date of The Review next week, the paper must go to ]) one day early in order to reach readers at the usual time. Therefore, mail your copy, for either advertising or reading columns, one day
