Chrysanthemum Inodorum Plenis- simum—Although a perennial, it flowers abundantly the first year from seed, each plant producing hun- dreds of beautiful, perfectly double snow-white flowers. Pkt 3 cts. Chrysanthemum, Perennial—As grown formerly in the old-time garden these were entirely hardy, the plants living out during the Winter, and flowering before frost in the Fall. They have been hybridized and improved greatly in size, form and colorings by the florists, but with a loss of hardiness and blooming at a later period in the Fall, needing the protection of a greenhouse to bring them to full in especially favored locations. By planting these fine varieities in California in the open ground we have secured a strain of seed, which, sown in the open ground early in the Spring at Fordhook Farms, produced fine plants which flower quite freely in the Fall. They are entirely hardy, living out all Winter and growing stronger each year, and at the same time produce flowers more than.
