The Niterói Museum of Contemporary Art in Niterói, Brazil, is pictured. Inaugurated in 1996, it was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. Its futuristic structure is reminiscent of a flying saucer. Oscar Niemeyer is one of Brazil's most famous architects. He belongs to the International Style movement. He is best known for building Brazil's capital Brasilia with urban planner Lúcio Costa, inaugurated in 1960. Niteroi, across Guanabara Bay from Rio de Janeiro, is the second city in the world with the most Niemeyer buildings, after Brasilia.
