But Sir William Dngdale did not confine his courtesy tothe Lady Anne, by j)ermitting her to iledieate otdy one of theengravings; he allowed her to inscribe two more; one to thememory of Ambrose Dudley, Ivnd of Warwick, wdio died in158!); and the other, strange to say, to his brother, the Earlof Leicester, who w^is uot only unworthy of such posthumousnotice, and least of all from one who had sullered by thismans inicjuitous repudiation of her lathers legitimacy.
