Marines welcomed approximately 40 educators from states west of the Mississippi River and explained what they should expect during the workshop. Until it ends June 24, educators have opportunities to experience a flight in an MV-22 Osprey, participate in infantry patrolling and many other events to understand what goes into making Marine officers. The workshop creates a mutually beneficial and meaningful relationship between educators and the Marine Corps where key leaders and educators can share knowledge based on firsthand experience about the Corps to students interested in Marine officer programs. Malone is an academic advisor for Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Davis is a skating instructor for University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
