Polychlorinated biphenyl. Molecular model of PCB-126 (), an example of a polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB). This is a toxic organochloride chemical with five chlorine atoms attached to a biphenyl. It has dioxin-like properties. The name of a PCB depends on the position of the chlorine atoms, in this case PCB-126. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white) and chlorine (green).
