A commemorative 25cl glass bottle of Coca-Cola produced in Russia for the 2014 Sochi 22cd Winter Olympic Games. The world’s largest beverage company, Coca-Cola, has the longest corporate relationship with the Olympic Games, beginning with the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam. In anticipation of the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Coca-Cola invested in the largest beverage plant in Russia in 2011. At $51 Billion the 22cd Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia were the most costly in Olympic history. The 2014 G8 Summit had been planned to be held in the newly renovated Black Sea Resort but after Russia’s annexation of the Crimea in early 2014 the original G7 nations voted to suspend Russia from the organization and the 2014 G7 summit is now planned to be held this summer in Brussels.
