Route indication sign for GR221, a long distance footpath on the Spanish island of Mallorca. The trail is broken into 8 stages and takes about a is about 100 kms long. It is also kown as The Drystone Route. There are a number of places to stay (refuges) whilst on the hike. The sign in this images shows the way to the Refugi de Pont Romá. The trail runs from Port d' Andratx to Pollença in the east via the Serra de Tramuntana. The Mallorcan government has done a great deal to promote walking in the beautiful Mallorcan countryside to attrach walkers of all abilities from all over the world.
