Water disinfectant tablets production. Factory worker overseeing a tablet machine that is being used to package tablets of the water disinfectant product Cidox. These tablets produce chlorine dioxide (ClO2) when added to water, which has the effect of disinfecting the water and making it safe to drink. The tablets can be used against bacteria and fungi and other microbes. Cidox is designed to be used in a high pH (alkaline) environment. These tablets are being manufactured by the Scotmas company in Scotland. Photographed in 2016.
